Better Than Ever: Discover the Redesigned 2021 Jeep Grand CherokeeThe Jeep Grand Cherokee has been in production since 1993, and over the years, the SUV has grown really popular among consumers. For the first time since 2010, the designers at Jeep have decided to give it an overhaul redesign – presenting us with an all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. With hybrids, Hemis & turbos, the next-generation Cherokee has the full potential to change the game in the SUV market.

Powerful Performance

While we may not have all the information about the new Grand Cherokee powertrains, one of the most prominent options in the lineup is the famous Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine with eTorque as the mid-range choice. The base engine will be the Jeep Wrangler’s turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four hybrid. The more potent Hemi V-8 engine will power the Grand Cherokee’s higher trims.

It is also believed that the new Jeep Grand Cherokee will have an option for the diesel engine used on the Jeep Wrangler and the Trackhawk Hellcat. Depending on the driving experience you desire, you will be able to choose from an all-wheel, rear-wheel, or four-wheel-drive system. There is also a hybrid version of the SUV that is expected towards the end of the year. Jeep says that the entire 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be offered with hybrid alternatives.

Spacious Interior and Modern Technology

The outgoing Jeep Grand Cherokee generation did not have a small interior, but the new generation comes with a larger interior. This is primarily because the current length of 114 inches increases, starting with the 2021 models significantly. This increase will enlarge not only passenger space but also the cargo space. And if you have a larger family, rejoice because Jeep will release a Grand Cherokee with a third row later in the year.

The Cherokee’s interior also features some of the best technological features in the automotive industry. The current five-inch screen will be replaced with a 7-inch touchscreen and an available 8.4-inch touchscreen—the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee will also come with advanced connectivity features such as the Apple CarPlay and Android. The upper trims will come standard with a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot. The SUV will also have the best driver-assist systems like the lane-keeping and blind-spot monitoring systems with cross-traffic alerts.

How Much Does the New Jeep Grand Cherokee Cost?

The 2021 Grand Cherokee has a starting price of $34,200, which is a little higher than many midsize SUVs. The price increases to $45,600 when you choose the Trailhawk trim designed for off-roading purposes. There is also an available 707-horsepower Trackhawk trim that starts at $87,895.
