Whether you love art, music, history, adventure, or all of the above, there’s an event for you to enjoy in Flagstaff this spring. Here are a few upcoming events you’ll want to mark on your calendar.

Flagstaff Music Festival

On April 4, at the Orpheum Theatre, Flagstaff will host its first music festival. This event supports the Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy. Come by and enjoy music from local bands like F-Town Sound, Bon Fiction, and Pass the Butter. Grab a bite to eat from local food vendors and enter the raffle to win prizes. Doors open at 3 p.m. and the music starts at 4 p.m. Tickets are only $5.50, and you’ll be able to come and go so you can walk around the city between sets.

NAU Film Festival

The Northern Arizona University Film Festival showcases the works of film students from NAU each year. Grab tickets and experience unique, artistic, thought-provoking works by up and coming artists. This event is held at the Orpheum Theatre, and the doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $12.50 for general admission and only $8 for NAU students. Come support the arts and relax on a Sunday night at this spring event.

Fiesta De Mayo

At Coconino Community College on May 16 and 17, Sunnyside Neighborhood Association will host the 25th celebration of Fiesta de Mayo. Every year, locals and visitors gather for a carnival with live music, great food, games, dancing, and crafts. Stop by anytime between noon and 8 p.m. both days to browse the selection of creations from local artisans. Admission is free so bring friends and family along and celebrate cultural diversity in northern Arizona.

Zuni Festival

Celebrate the culture of the Zuni people, native to northern Arizona. This people group has lived in pueblos throughout the area for thousands of years and is now a Federally recognized tribe. Some still live in and around Flagstaff, but most live in western New Mexico. Visit the Zuni Festival on May 23 and May 24 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. both days. Held at the Museum of Northern Arizona, this event encourages visitors to talk with Zuni artisans and appreciate their work and lost-standing traditions. Live music and dance performances provide entertainment for all ages.

Blues and Brews Festival

Just before the end of spring, on June 12 and 13, the Continental Country Club Driving Range will host its Flagstaff Blues and Brews Festival. From Friday at 2 p.m. until Saturday at 8 p.m. visitors can enjoy live performances by local blues bands, plus great food and beer. Both general admission and VIP passes are available for both days. VIP ticket holders get private bathrooms, shade under tents, a private bar, and more. General admission includes seating on the lawn and access to all food and drink vendors.
