What We Know About the 2022 Jeep Compass One of Jeep’s top vehicles, the Jeep Compass, is receiving an upgrade. The 2022 Jeep Compass will be fully redesigned and equipped with a new design and the latest technologies.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the 2022 Compass will look significantly different than its predecessor. This includes updated front and rear fascias and thinner LED headlights that wrap around the front end. It will also feature an updated grille that is sure to make you stand out. While still managing to maintain the traditional Jeep grille, the latest design will also feature bold, horizontal lines. It also has a waterfall design, which looks similar to the Jeep Wagoneer, which was recently announced to be released sometime later this year.

Interior Design

While the exterior design is definitely an upgrade, the interior gives the Jeep Compass its brand-new feel. The larger floating 10.1-inch touch-screen driver infotainment system is more driver-focused with a modern feel. The instrument cluster is also larger, measuring at 10.25 inches, and may be used to display important off-roading data. USB ports and an Alpine audio system keep you connected and entertained.

Some of the designs found on the interior of the 2021 Jeep Compass are likely to carry over, like the heated seats and steering wheel and dual-zone automatic air conditioning. The Jeep Compass is also known for offering a spacious interior, despite its small size categorization. The 2022 Compass should be no exception, giving the driver and passengers the room they need for a comfortable commute.

Power

There hasn’t been any news about a new engine in the Jeep Compass as of yet. If Jeep sticks with the same engine, then we can expect a 2.4-liter engine with 180 horsepower. This should be paired with either a six-speed automatic transmission or a nine-speed manual transmission with an all-wheel drive. Both options come with start/stop technology. There have been rumors that the 2022 Compass could potentially include a plug-in hybrid, similar to Jeep Compasses available in other markets. This would likely include a 1.3-liter engine with an output of between 190 to 240 horsepower.

Currently, the Jeep Compass can tow up to 2,000 pounds. Of course, the Compass wouldn’t be a Jeep if it didn’t have some level of off-roading available. The 2021 Jeep Compass has features like four-wheel-drive traction, water fording capabilities, responsive maneuverability, and good articulation. We can expect many of these features to carry over to the 2022 model, while also still receiving a trail-rated badge.

Safety

Safety is an important feature to consider when you spend a lot of time off-roading. Jeep is likely to incorporate the latest safety features into the 2022 Jeep Compass, like adaptive cruise control and a backup camera system. There may also be a few upgrades, like the forward-facing feature on the 360-degree camera, located in the front end grille.

We may have to wait a while to learn more about the Jeep Compass and even longer to buy it. Currently, it is estimated that the Jeep Compass will be available at the end of 2021. Find out when they’re available and schedule a test drive with Oxendale Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram
