What’s Covered By the Standard Warranty on a New RAM Truck?

Every RAM comes with a limited car warranty, and you can choose from several extended warranty options to extend your coverage. As your RAM dealer, we want to tell you more about what your warranty covers and your extension options.

Standard Warranty

Every new RAM comes wrapped with several warranties to give you peace of mind and enable you to enjoy RAM. These are the most important features of your warranty. Your warranties are transferrable to a new owner if you sell your car during the warranty period.

Powertrain Warranty

The powertrain warranty covers numerous components in your engine, transmission, and drivetrain against the unlikely event of a defect in labor or manufacturing. Diesel vehicles have a five-year/100,000-mile warranty, while gasoline engines have a five-year/60,000-mile warranty. If you experience any problem covered by the warranty, it will be repaired by a dealer.

Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty

In addition to your powertrain, you have a bumper-to-bumper warranty, which covers a variety of systems and components for three years/36,000 miles. The details of all the covered systems are listed in your warranty information.

Roadside Assistance

During your warranty period, you have access to roadside assistance 24/7/365. Expert technicians are on call to provide a variety of services, including jump-starting, roadside fuel delivery, and tire changing. Complimentary towing is also provided to take you to the nearest CDJR dealer.

Extended Warranties

You can choose one or more extended warranties. You can choose a term for each warranty and your deductible. Each of these warranties takes effect on the day your original limited warranty expires to give you continuous coverage.

Maximum Care

This warranty covers over 5,000 components and protects all your mechanical systems. If repairs are needed, they will be performed by RAM-trained technicians using only OEM components. Terms for this warranty extend up to eight years/150,000 miles. You can choose a $0, $100, or $200 deductible.

This warranty also provides a towing allowance, roadside assistance allowance, rental assistance allowance, and a trip allowance. The remaining plan coverage can be transferred to a new owner.

Added Care Plus

This warranty protects over 850 additional components beyond those covered under a Maximum Care warranty. You can choose a term from five to eight years and from 60,000 miles to 150,000 miles. Your deductible options offer a choice of $0, $100, or $200.

This warranty also offers a rental assistance allowance, roadside assistance allowance, towing allowance, and trip interruption allowance. The remaining plan coverage can be transferred to a new owner.
